The Sands of Kavir are perfidious treacherous, made of the salt ponds, encouraging the inflow of water from the soil, they have the same characteristics as quicksand. Within moments they can swallow people, animals and even entire cars. It is said that whole caravans of men and animals have disappeared without a trace.
